On the 18th July 2013 our kids at both schools, Happy Feet Creche and Aphilayo Amanzis decided to be creative as it was a little on the cold side for all the kids to be outside. In spite of the cold weather they have decided to put the pen on paper and see who can draw the most colourful and prettiest cake for Nelson Mandela. Just by mentioning that they will be making something for Nelson Mandela got them all excited and wanted to show how creative and talented they are can be.
Out of all the drawings we had a difficult task to choose one picture that we thought looked the best and gave the winner a small present just to show that we appreciate their effort. After they were finish with their drawings we were able to give each kid a nice glass of cool drink that Peninsula Beverage Company donated to them, we really appreciated it. As you all know that we have schools in Happy valley that the Blackheath City Improvement District support and tries to aid as best we can, but we won’t be able to be successful without your assistance. Any form of donation i.e. pens, pencils, erasers, old story books, etc. are always welcome and all we ask for. We try our best to help out where we can, but we can only do so much. So if there is anything you have available or are able to gather around your office then please let me know at mark@bcid.co.za
