Security News for November 2013

Monthly Security Report – November 2013

Looking at the crime statistics we can clearly see that we are moving into festive season as petty crime is on the increase. The South African Police and ST3 Security statistics show that theft out of motor vehicle, common assault and general theft increased over this past month.

In the beginning of October we experienced a major carjacking in Anfield Road where a large amount of money was driven away with, the vehicle was discovered at a later stage on the R300. We would like to warn against handling, storing and transporting large amounts of cash at this time of year. Rather have the professionals move the cash and try to avoid cash handling as far as possible. The information quickly gets out and you will most likely find yourself in a very unpleasant situation. These thieves have no respect for your life and a major hunger for hard cash.

If you get between the two you are likely to suffer the consequences!!!

We have noticed that there is a group of five males roaming around the area looking for opportunities to steal any items of value. If you see them or anything suspicious please inform the SAPS or contact the BCID patrol vehicle. Call ST3 on 021 905 3399 immediately or 10111 for the SAPS!
